About the HR IMPACT Awards
Created to raise awareness of excellence in human resource programs and practices in the Greater Houston area, the HR IMPACT Award recognizes HR workgroups that have created significant business value (impact) for their organizations. The 6th Annual HR IMPACT Award has been rescheduled for Fall 2010. Watch HR Houston's website for updates announcing the call for nominations.

NOMINATION PROCESS & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- All nominations must be submitted via the online nomination form.
- The program should fall into one of the submission categories listed here.
- Companies must have an initiated or established approach in place for at least 3 months.
- HR workgroups from businesses of any size within the Greater Houston area may be nominated.
- Membership in or affiliation with HR Houston is not required to participate.
- Companies can submit in more than one category but a separate nomination form must be completed for each category.
JUDGING PROCESS
- All nominations are reviewed by an independent panel of judges in a “blind” format (without identifying company names, logos, etc.)
- The judging panel is comprised of senior business executives, SHRM leaders, and university professors.
- Each judge scores the nominations for each category, and the nomination receiving the highest composite score is named the winner of the award for the category. In case of a tie, the two submissions are sent back to the judges for comparative scoring.
- Award winners will be announced at the HR IMPACT Awards Banquet.
RECOGNITION
- Each workgroup that participates will be recognized and receive a certificate of commendation.
- Winning entries, as determined by the judging panel of HR experts, will be announced at the HR IMPACT Awards Banquet and Program and will receive a trophy that commemorates their accomplishment.
- Winners are celebrated and recognized through publications such as Houston Chronicle, HR Matters, and HResource - HR Houston’s newsletter, and HR Houston’s website.
- HR Houston hosts the HR IMPACT Award Winners Showcase, where winning organizations are invited to participate in educational sessions based on the winning programs.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING NOMINATIONS
Simply complete the online nomination form. Submissions may not exceed 1500 words.

This nomination form DOES NOT offer you the ability to log in and out -- once started, you will need to COMPLETE IN FULL. To submit your nomination, we recommend the following steps:
- Print out the pdf copy of the NOMINATION FORM.
- Review the questions on the pdf form and collect the information that you will need to complete the online proposal (ex: Number of Employees, Executive Overview, Key Metrics, etc.).
- Click on the 'Complete the Nomination Form' link below and complete the online form in its entirety.
